Koalas
Four of these tours stop at Yanchep National Park, 53 km by road north of Perth, for koalas and kangaroos. The kangaroos there are wild, and sightings are not guaranteed. Australian Pinnacle Tours’ full day goes to Caversham Wildlife Park in the Swan Valley instead, a wildlife park with koalas, wombats and kangaroos.
The Lancelin dunes and sandboarding
Lancelin’s dunes are 127 km by road from Perth, 77 km short of the Pinnacles. Lumineer Adventure Tours’ sunset tour, Australian Pinnacle Tours’ 4WD day and take you there tours’ small-group day all sandboard there, and Tour2Holiday’s sunset tour spends an hour on the dunes. Lunch or dinner in Cervantes
Cervantes, 20 km by road beyond the Pinnacles, is where the day tours eat. Australian Pinnacle Tours includes fish and chips. The evening tours from Autopia Tours, Lumineer Adventure Tours and Tour2Holiday eat in the park instead, as a picnic or a cooked BBQ.
Lake Thetis and the Swan Valley
Lake Thetis is 2.5 km by road from Cervantes; Autopia Tours’ lobster day walks its boardwalk past the stromatolites, and take you there tours stops there too. The Swan Valley day spends the way home tasting local chocolate, nougat and nuts at Swan Valley producers.
